The Town of Erin’s history notes that “...we are Washington County’s oldest town, and the first one to incorporate by act of the Territorial Legislature on January 16, 1846” – which was two years before Wisconsin became a state. So, there is a long, 166-year history that we would like to “shine a light on.”

The Erin Historical Society was established as a non-profit in 2006 by a group of dedicated volunteers who felt it was important to capture and share memories and artifacts of the Township of Erin - a place many of them have called home for years.

The volunteer-based organization is supported by the Township of Erin Board.
